Your website is live the moment it's published, but on a system URL. Connecting your own domain — like www.yourbusiness.com — takes a few minutes plus DNS propagation time.
Steps
- In your account, open the domain settings and click Connect, then choose what the domain is for (website, funnel, store, or blog).
- Type your domain or subdomain (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com) and continue.
- If your registrar supports automatic connection, authorize it when prompted — the records are added for you and you're done.
- Otherwise, copy the DNS records shown on screen into your domain host's DNS settings. For a subdomain, the Host/Name field is just the prefix (e.g., "www").
- Come back and click Verify. If it fails, wait and retry — DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate.
- Once verified, set your default page and 404 page, and attach the domain to your website.
Good to know
- Using Cloudflare? Set the record's proxy status to DNS only (gray cloud) — proxied records won't verify.
- Root domains (yourbusiness.com without www) need different records than subdomains — follow exactly what the connect screen shows for your case.
- Nothing breaks while you wait: your old site stays up until DNS points at the new one.
