Your First Automation

The classic starter workflow: someone submits your form, they instantly get a text and an email, and you get notified.

Automations (workflows) are trigger → actions. The first one every business should build: instant follow-up on new leads — because the first business to respond usually wins.

Steps

  1. Go to Automation → Workflows and create a new workflow — start from scratch, a recipe, or just describe it to the AI builder.
  2. Add the trigger: Form Submitted, filtered to your lead form.
  3. Add action one: Send SMS — a short, human text like "Thanks for reaching out! What's the best time to call?"
  4. Add action two: Send Email — a fuller reply with your details and booking link.
  5. Optionally add: a notification to yourself, a tag like "new-lead," and a wait step before a day-two follow-up.
  6. Submit your own form as a test, watch each step fire, then switch the workflow from draft to Published.

Good to know

  • Draft workflows don't run. If nothing happened, check the publish toggle first.
  • The SMS step only delivers once your A2P registration is approved (see the SMS guide).
  • Always test with your own contact info before pointing real traffic at it.
