Pipelines & Opportunities

Create your pipeline stages, add opportunities, and see the value of every deal at every stage.

← All support articles

A pipeline is your sales process drawn as columns — e.g., New Lead → Contacted → Quoted → Won. Each card (opportunity) is a potential deal with a value, so the board doubles as a revenue forecast.

Steps

  1. Go to Opportunities and create a pipeline.
  2. Define your stages — name them after your real process, in order. Plan them before adding deals; reshuffling a live pipeline muddies reporting.
  3. Add an opportunity: click + Add opportunity, pick the contact, set pipeline, stage, deal value, and owner.
  4. Move deals by dragging cards between columns as they progress.
  5. Automate it: in a workflow, add the Create/Update Opportunity action — e.g., every form submission creates a card in New Lead automatically.
  6. Go further: the Pipeline Stage Changed trigger can fire follow-up automation when a deal moves (e.g., quote sent → follow-up in 3 days).

Good to know

  • One contact can hold multiple opportunities — fine for repeat business, but watch for accidental duplicates inflating pipeline value.
  • Each stage has a visibility toggle for dashboard charts; a hidden stage silently disappears from your funnel graphs.
  • Fewer stages is better. Five clear stages beat eleven vague ones.
